Salen Group, the sales department that handles a large number of the group’s sales processes, is hiring for a sales team that will help the department reach its goal of increasing its business by about 1,000 per cent.
The company’s board is expected to announce a new CEO on Thursday.
The hiring of the new sales manager comes after Salen said last week it will cut more than 30 per cent of its workforce.
Salen, the largest retailer in Canada, said the cut will affect its salespeople in a variety of areas, including sales development, marketing, brand development and marketing management.
“We want to make sure we’re hiring in people who are going to be part of our team,” said Salen CEO David Zaremba.
The new employee will be responsible for ensuring that all of Salen’s products and services are available to its customers at all times.
Salens has also announced plans to start a new sales team with sales-development and marketing managers.
