A recent survey found that nearly one-third of consumers surveyed said they expect to purchase their next smartphone in the next three years.
This is despite a growing number of tech-savvy consumers who are buying devices that are less than a year old.
According to a recent survey conducted by the consumer research firm Brandeis University, 75 percent of consumers are now looking for “better quality devices” and a majority of those polled were expecting to buy their next device in the future.
The brand-new Apple Watch has been on sale in the US since October, but it is expected to make its debut on November 3rd, when the Apple Watch 2 is expected.
Apple is hoping to sell at least 30 million watches by year-end.
Meanwhile, Samsung is planning to launch the Galaxy S5 smartphone in early 2019, with the device expected to sell for $399, $100 cheaper than the current model.
