Coventry has announced a “major transformation” in its sales department as it looks to boost its financial performance.
Chief executive Steve McManus said the company’s financial performance was at “all-time highs” in 2016.
The move to a new revenue stream for its business and the new model of its sales and marketing will allow it to deliver better value for the taxpayer and better value to the community, he said.
“This is a major transformation for Coventry’s sales team, which will allow them to grow their business and deliver greater value for taxpayers,” Mr McManuses said.
Mr McManens said the sale of Coventry Group will continue and the company would continue to “develop” its business, with plans to “re-imagine” its sales channel and its operations.
“We are continuing to focus on building out the Coventry brand and our sales and business to ensure we can deliver great value for our taxpayer,” he said in a statement.
“Our current sales teams are working with the finance department to ensure they can deliver value for all Australians.”
The new model will allow Coventry to focus more on its core business of selling and marketing to people and businesses in the community.
“Mr McMannus said Coventry had “one of the best-performing sales teams in the country”.”
We know we need to make changes to ensure that Coventry delivers value for Australian taxpayers, and we are continuing our commitment to improve our financial performance to make that happen,” he added.”
I want to thank all our employees for their hard work and dedication to Coventry and the Australian community, and I want to say thank you to all of our shareholders for your support.
“Mr McGowan said he hoped the company could “do better in the future”.”
It’s a very challenging time in the financial performance of Coventure and its community.
I believe the future is bright for Coventures future and that is what we will work towards,” he told ABC News Breakfast.
